Tanya Pinto is a global citizen and award-winning consultant serving organizations in the nonprofit, technology and consumer sectors – from startups to large international organizations. Tanya’s expertise is in creating programs that engage and inspire customers, drive sales and increase mindshare. 

Tanya founded Shakti Consulting (which means "divine feminine creative power" in Sanskrit) in 2012. Known for her strategic insights, charismatic personality and ability to quickly solve marketing challenges, Tanya is a poised, experienced presenter that regularly interfaces with CEO's and senior leaders. Prior to starting her own consulting practice, Tanya spent 13 years in Brand Management at The Richards Group, a $1 Billion in revenue, full-service advertising agency, working on major national and international brands.

Tanya is also a dedicated humanitarian, having founded Baal Dan Charities (which means "donation to children") in 2006 and
Food Mission - Serving Hope, in 2015 Tanya has raised over $1 million through Baal Dan to support food, shelter, water, refugee and education projects for orphans and vulnerable children, providing aid to over 12,000 children in 12 developing countries.

Tanya grew up in the UAE and Australia. She has a Bachelor of Mass Communications (Journalism, Marketing and Public Relations) with First Class Honors from Australia’s Curtin University. Over the course of her career, Tanya has worked on projects in over 20 countries and she is at ease in working in a variety of contexts in developing countries such as field missions and refugee camps.
 
Passionate and adventurous, Tanya is an avid traveler and has been to over 50 countries and loves to learn about new cultures. Tanya was a ballet dancer for over 20 years, regularly practices yoga and meditation, loves movies and baking.

  • Winner of the “John Curtin Medal” Humanitarian Leadership Award, Australia, 2011.
  • Winner of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (DFW), 2013 Award for Leaders of Excellence.
  • Winner of "Award of Honor", Public Relations Society of America, Dallas Chapter for Buckner Campaign.
  • Winner of the “Woman of the Year Award”, Harvard Womenʼs Empowerment Conference (WECAN), 2009.
  • Winner of the “Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Award for Uplifting Human Values”, 2007.
  • Managed the advertising team at The Richards Group on behalf of Childrenʼs Medical Center that won an “ANNIE Award” (animation award), an “Aster Award”, “Hermes Award” and nominated for a “CLIO Health Care” Award for the “Storybook” campaign, 2010.
  • Published in the International Journal of Advertising, “Agency-Client Chemistry: Demographic and Psychographic Influences”, Volume 20, 2001.
